Why Can't I Find Binance in the App Store? Common Causes and Solutions

The main reason you cannot find Binance in the App Store is that your current Apple ID is logged into the China region, where the Binance APP is no longer listed. The solution is to switch to an account in the US, Japan, Hong Kong, or other regions where it is allowed, and then search again. If you still cannot find it after switching, it is likely a search cache issue or the keyword is being filtered by the system. You can get the latest guidance through the Binance Official Website or Binance Official APP download entry. For complete steps, see the iOS Installation Tutorial. Below are the causes and solutions handled one by one.

I. Pinpointing the Cause

There are 4 common reasons why you can't find Binance, ranked by probability:

Cause Percentage Difficulty Processing Time
Removed from China region ~75% Requires region switch 10-30 minutes
Search cache not refreshed ~12% Simple 2 minutes
Abnormal network node ~8% Medium 5 minutes
Account risk control ~5% Complex 1-72 hours

Step 1: Check Your Current Apple ID Region

Open App Store → tap the profile icon in the top right → scroll to the bottom and look at the Country/Region field. If it says China, that is the root cause.

Step 2: Determine if it's an Account or Network Issue

Search for WhatsApp or Telegram with your current account. These apps are also not available in the China region. If you can't find them, your account is in the China region; if you can find WhatsApp, your account is already in an overseas region, and the problem lies elsewhere.

Step 3: Check App Store Rankings

Go to popular recommendations and look at the language of app names in the rankings. If all titles are in Simplified Chinese, you are still in the China region. If English titles are mixed in, you have switched to an overseas region.

II. Region Switch Solutions

This is the fundamental solution for 75% of users.

Option A: Switch to the US Region

The most popular choice. Binance is always listed in the US App Store. Process:

  1. Settings → [Your Name] at the top → Media & Purchases → View Account
  2. Country/Region → Change Country or Region
  3. Select United States → Agree to Terms
  4. Fill in a US address (refer to address templates)
  5. Select None as the payment method
  6. Done

After switching, open the App Store and search for "Binance" again in the search box.

Option B: Switch to the Japan Region

Suitable for users who like Japanese apps. Binance is also available in the Japan App Store. Address template: 1-1-1 Chiyoda, Tokyo, 100-0001.

Option C: Hong Kong Region

Address template: Central Plaza, 18 Harbour Road, Wan Chai. Gift cards are easy to obtain for the HK region, making it suitable for long-term use. However, some time periods might have regional restrictions, so it's not as stable as the US region.

Option D: Use an Existing Overseas Account

If a family member or friend already has a US account, you can log in to the App Store with that account to download Binance. This does not affect other services like iCloud or iMessage. You don't need to switch the iCloud account, only the Media & Purchases in the App Store.

III. What to Do if Still Not Found After Switching

Search Cache Issue

After switching regions, the App Store index takes 2-5 minutes to update. Searching immediately might still show China region cache. Solution:

  • Completely exit the App Store (swipe up to close)
  • Wait for 3 minutes and open it again
  • Search again

DNS Cache Issue

The iPhone's DNS cache might retain old regional records. Toggle Airplane Mode on for 10 seconds and then off to force a DNS refresh.

Search Keyword Optimization

Sometimes searching for "binance" in all lowercase yields more accurate results, or searching for "BNB" related keywords will also bring up the Binance APP. Type "Binance" in the search history, and you can click the suggested words that appear.

Hardware-Level Regional Restrictions

Some iPhone models manufactured for specific regions have hardware-level restrictions. For example, certain versions of iPhone 14 for mainland China might still not be able to find sensitive apps even after switching to a US account. In this case, you need to change models or use a Hong Kong/US version iPhone.

IV. Common Scenarios

Scenario A: Region switch is complete, but the App Store interface is still in Chinese. This is the iOS system language and has nothing to do with the App Store region. The interface language is in Settings → General → Language. Interface language does not affect whether you can find Binance.

Scenario B: The first search result is a fake APP. There are dozens of fake APPs with "Binance" in their names and icons that mimic the original. Identification method: The developer name must be Binance.com, with 4+ digit reviews and a 4.5+ rating. Check the developer name carefully before downloading any app.

Scenario C: The account could find it before but can't now. Two possibilities: ① The account triggered risk control. ② Binance is temporarily removed from that region for rectification. Try logging out and back in; if that doesn't work, wait 24 hours to observe.

Scenario D: Search directly shows "No Results". This is 100% a regional issue. Searching for any removed app in the China region will show no results. Switching regions is the solution.

Scenario E: Found it, but it says "This item is not available in your country". This means the app was listed, but your Apple ID region does not have download permissions. You need to switch the Media & Purchases account to the corresponding region, not just change the App Store region display.

V. FAQ

Q: Do I need to back up my data before switching regions? A: The Binance APP itself does not store any critical user data locally; all account assets are on Binance servers. Switching regions is safe and does not affect any existing data. iCloud photos, contacts, etc. are also completely unrelated to the App Store region.

Q: Can I still use WeChat and Alipay from the China region after switching? A: Yes. WeChat and Alipay do not depend on the current App Store region; as long as they were installed before, you can continue to use them. You only need to switch back to the China region when updates are needed in the future.

Q: Why can't some people find it even with a US account? A: It's possible that the US account switch was not thorough. Check that all three places are set to the United States: Apple ID region, Media & Purchases region, and the account under the App Store profile icon. If any of these are incorrect, it will affect the search results.

Q: Will I be locked out if I switch to the US region but don't have a US phone number? A: No. Apple ID's two-factor trusted number can be a China phone number. Any number that can actually receive international SMS is fine.

Q: What if the download keeps failing after finding Binance? A: This is usually a payment method issue. Go to Account → Payment & Shipping → delete any cards and leave only None. Save and try downloading again. If it gets stuck on "Verifying", clear iPhone storage to have at least 1 GB of free space and try again. After a successful download, you can log in and trade normally through the Binance APP.
