Binance App Download & Install Guide: Android APK, iOS, Desktop

The official Binance app offers download entry points on five platforms: Android APK (about 85 MB), iOS App Store (about 200 MB), macOS client (about 148 MB), Windows client (about 96 MB), plus the browser web version that needs no installation.

This page collects the system requirements, install steps, and security verification methods for every platform. Every entry point links to the official Binance website — we never repackage anything; Android users can also grab the official Binance app installer directly. iPhone users should follow the iOS section below for switching the Apple ID region.

⚠️ Security reminder: Binance only ships one official version of the app. Anything labeled "modified", "cracked", "no-login", or "Chinese-enhanced" is a phishing build that will steal your password and 2FA codes once installed. Only use the installers reached through the official Binance links on this page — do not trust any other source.
## Why Some App Stores Don't List Binance Several regional Android app marketplaces (Huawei, Xiaomi, OPPO, vivo) and the App Store tied to a Mainland China Apple ID do not carry the Binance app. There are two reasons: first, Mainland China prohibits the operation of crypto trading platforms domestically, so app stores have to delist for compliance; second, Binance — being a global business — primarily distributes through its own website and overseas App Stores. This says nothing about the safety of the Binance app itself — it operates legally in over 180 countries and regions, the APK from the official site is identical to the App Store build, and it is subject to compliance review by financial regulators in multiple jurisdictions. Downloading the app is purely a distribution issue, and the fix is exactly what this page describes: a direct APK install on Android, or switching to a different region's Apple ID on iOS. ## Feature Comparison Across Platforms

Android APK Download & Install

The official Binance APK supports Android 7.0 and above, requires no Google Play services, installs cleanly for users in Mainland China, and the whole process takes about 3 minutes. Just grab the latest APK from the official Binance site — or click official Binance app for a direct install entry.

Standard Install Steps

  1. Open the official Binance site in your phone browser, then tap "Download" → "Android APK"
  2. The browser shows a security warning — tap "Download anyway", and the APK saves to the Download folder
  3. Open your file manager, find Binance.apk, and tap to install
  4. The first install will trigger an "Unknown sources" prompt — go into system settings and grant the current browser install permission
  5. Return to the APK page to continue installing; once done, open Binance from the home screen and log in

OEM ROM Compatibility Notes

  1. Xiaomi / Redmi: in MIUI, turn off "Pure Mode" inside App Management
  2. Huawei / Honor: on HarmonyOS, tap "Install anyway" to bypass the unsigned-app warning
  3. OPPO / OnePlus: in ColorOS, allow the install in "Phone Manager → App Installation"
  4. vivo / iQOO: on OriginOS, disable the install-time security check
  5. Samsung: on One UI, when Knox blocks the first launch, tap "Open anyway"
  6. Google Pixel: stock Android — follow the standard steps

iOS / iPhone Install Steps

An App Store tied to a Mainland China Apple ID will not surface Binance, so you need to switch to an overseas Apple ID to download it. We recommend a US or Hong Kong Apple ID — neither requires a real foreign credit card, and no jailbreak is involved.

US Apple ID Download Flow

  1. Open appleid.apple.com in Safari and register a US Apple ID with a fresh email
  2. Set the country/region to United States and use a date of birth in 1990 or later
  3. After verification (a Mainland China phone number works), open iPhone Settings and sign out of your existing Apple ID
  4. Sign in with the new Apple ID, open the App Store, and search for Binance
  5. Tap "Get" → "Verify" → choose "None" for payment, and the download will start

Hong Kong Apple ID Alternative

  1. The HK store is in Traditional Chinese and prices in HK$, which is friendlier for Chinese-speaking users
  2. When registering, set "Country/Region" to Hong Kong — no credit card required
  3. Pick None for payment method; entering any real Hong Kong Island address will pass
  4. Once signed into the App Store, you can download Binance the same way
  5. HK and US Apple IDs offer identical functionality — pick whichever is more convenient and stick with it

macOS / Windows Desktop Client

The desktop client is built on Electron, so it feels close to the web version but launches faster and renders charts more smoothly. It is well suited to intraday trading, watching the order book, and running Web3 wallet extensions. The download lives under the same "Download" menu at the top of the official Binance site.

macOS Client Notes

  • Download Binance.dmg (about 148 MB)
  • Requires macOS 10.15 Catalina or later
  • Native Apple Silicon support (M1 / M2 / M3 / M4)
  • If the first launch warns about an "unidentified developer", right-click → Open → Open anyway
  • Account state syncs automatically with the mobile app and the web

Windows Client Notes

  • Download Setup-Binance.exe (about 96 MB)
  • Requires Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit)
  • The installer does not need administrator privileges
  • Antivirus tools occasionally flag it — add the install directory to the whitelist if needed
  • The client checks for updates automatically on launch
## Beginner Security Setup After Install Once you have downloaded the app and signed in, do these three things first — before any deposits or trades: 1. Bind 2FA: prefer Google Authenticator or Authy; avoid SMS codes (SIM-swap risk) 2. Set the anti-phishing code: under "Account → Security", enter an 8-character custom string — every official Binance email going forward will display this string, making phishing emails obvious at a glance 3. Configure the withdrawal whitelist: in "Wallet → Withdraw", once the whitelist is on, withdrawals can only go to verified addresses, and any unlisted address is rejected These three steps take about 10 minutes total and push the chance of account compromise to near-zero. For the full security checklist, see the standalone articles in the "Security Settings" category. ## Download FAQ Q: My APK download is stuck at a few KB/s — what now?
A: Likely throttling by your local carrier on large overseas downloads. Try switching from Wi-Fi to 4G/5G mobile data, or change carriers (e.g. China Mobile → Unicom / Telecom). Q: I found Binance on iOS but the button is greyed out and says "Cannot download"?
A: The App Store has cached your previous Apple ID's region. Sign out of the account completely, sign back in, or restart the phone and retry. Q: I installed it on Mac but it won't open — it says "damaged"?
A: Gatekeeper is blocking it. Run sudo xattr -rd com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Binance.app in Terminal to clear the quarantine flag. Q: The Windows version's actual size doesn't match what's stated online?
A: The Binance desktop installer itself is about 96 MB, but on first launch it incrementally downloads the market-data engine (about 120 MB), so a fully installed client occupies roughly 220 MB on disk.
